Weber Medical Laser

Ballina Health Centre is one of the first clinics in Australia to offer the Weber Medical Laser for Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). LLLT has been developed in Germany and is based on the usage of soft lasers. Soft lasers supply our body with energy to trigger numerous regenerative processes.

Medical laser therapy applies blue, green, yellow, red and infrared lasers. Each colour develops different effects which are evoked by the stimulation of specific cellular components, such as growth factors or cells of the immune system. These effects have been proven by a large number of clinical studies.

Low-level laser therapy may assist in:

  • Reducing pain and inflammation from acute injuries
  • Reducing pain and need for analgesic pain medication in chronic pain such as arthritis and back pain
  • Decreasing healing time of wounds such as ulcers and injuries
  • Healing post-surgery
  • Promote bone regeneration
  • Improving lymphatic flow
  • Decreasing nerve pain such as neuralgia
  • Improving tinnitus
  • Improving dermatological conditions such as acne
  • Stimulating acupuncture points without needles
  • Reducing pain post dental procedures
